Ecohydrology Model

Ecohydrology is A new paradigm in integrated water resources management that offers a sustainable development approach in understanding the environment and water resources system through understanding the interdependence of processes and components of hydrologic cycle in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. Key concepts and principles on ecohydrology have been developed worldwide, however this new concept is barely implemented in Asia Pacific region.

Four fundamental principles of ecohydrology include:

  1. Hydrological principle
  2. Ecological principle
  3. Ecotechnological principle
  4. Culture principle
